Timothy Sovereign

How long have you been in the insurance industry, and what is your current position?
I received my health and life license in June of 2015. Prior to that I worked in the investment guidance, and financial planning field, with a focus on retirement plans, for eight years, and I wanted to work for myself. I created Timothy Sovereign LLC in July, and I am the President. The goal of my company will be to develop a practice of setting up health insurance for small groups, H.S.A. plans, disability, life insurance, and the like.
What are some of your hobbies?
I spend a lot of my free time playing soccer. Usually, I am on three or four teams at a time. If time persists I will pick up the guitar or paint.
What is your favorite Texas restaurant?
Recently, I have found that La Playa Maya, has everything I want in a Mexican Restaurant, and I eat there, about every other week.
Why did you join FWAHU?
I joined FWAHU, because it is a great way to build a network with other local insurance specialists, exchanges, companies, providers, and producers. My experience in the investment industry, made me aware of the importance of staying on top of regulatory issues. The continuing education provided easily covers the cost of FWAHU.
After attending my first meeting, I noticed a third benefit that was residual, and that is the comradery. Everyone was welcoming, warm, and kind. The friendly competition that exists there is the best, bar none!
