New Member Spotlight: Sue Kitching-Jefferies

\"\"Sue Kitching-Jefferies insurance career originally began as a summer job while she was attending college.  She worked in the accounting department of Transport Life Insurance in Fort Worth but found that insurance would become more than just a ‘summer job’.  By the end of the summer she had decided to pursue her professional designation in insurance while also completing night college courses toward her degree in business management.

In 1997, Transport Life was acquired by Conseco and relocated out-of-state to Carmel, Indiana.  Being a life long Texas gal, Sue had no desire to head north, so she obtained her Group 1 License and partnered with a Property & Casualty agency where she became their Life & Health agent.  She specializes in Group Benefits, Individual Medical, Medicare Supplement, Long Term Care as well as Life Insurance, holding broker appointments with many leading companies in the industry.  Her primary office is located in Granbury at All Tex Insurance Agency.  She also has a second office location in Arlington at Coble Cravens Financial Services.  Her association with All Tex and Coble Cravens has created an ideal alliance offering all lines of insurance and financial/investment products to clients.

Sue received her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2003 and her Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation in 2005 from the American College.  She also received her Associate Customer Service (ACS) designation from LOMA in 1996.  She is a Granbury Chamber Ambassador and has also served on various youth sports boards in her area.

Sue recently joined FWAHU to network and share information relating to the newly enacted health care reform legislation.  She supports NAHU and FWAHU in their efforts to protect agents roles in the insurance distribution system.

She and her husband, Allen, and son Zachary live in Granbury.  Allen owns his own heavy machinery business also in Granbury.  Zac is a fifth grader at Granbury Elementary.  Whenever Sue is not writing or discussing insurance (which is rare as everyone who is an agent probably already knows, you are on the clock pretty much at all times….at the grocery store, at family functions, at dinner with friends, etc.) she enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and being a “Football/Baseball/Basketball Mom”.

Welcome Sue– to FWAHU! Our chapter is anxious to get to know you!
